Our goal is to help you effectively manage your account and to provide as many options as possible for receiving your account documents, including receiving information electronically. We are required by law to give you certain information “in writing”. With your prior consent we may provide you this information electronically. Before you use our electronic services you must review and consent to the terms below.

In accordance with the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (the “E-SIGN Act”), we want to advise you of your rights concerning your Agreement to Accept Terms and Conditions, Notices, Confirmations and Disclosures in an Electronic Format. In this Agreement, the terms “you” and “your” refer to each individual responsible for your Rental Purchase Agreement account, and the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Shield RTO Holdings LP d/b/a Shield Leasing (“Shield”). This Agreement applies to all Rental Purchase Agreement accounts established by you with Shield.

Consent to Receive Records in an Electronic Format

By clicking “I Accept” below, you agree to electronic delivery of notices and records relating to your Rental Purchase Agreement account (“Records”) in lieu of receiving such Records in paper form through postal delivery and not otherwise required by regulation or policy to be sent exclusively by postal delivery. Records eligible for electronic delivery include the Rental Purchase Agreement, disclosures, account alerts, notices of late payment and/or returned payment (if any), and any other documents relating to your account. Account alerts delivered electronically may include, without limitation: (i) reminders of payments due; (ii) notice of payments past due; and (iii) notices of returned payment. By agreeing to electronic delivery you will no longer receive Records by mail. We may always, in our sole discretion, provide you with any communication of Records in writing, even if you have chosen to receive it electronically.

You acknowledge and agree that your consent is being provided in connection with a transaction affecting interstate commerce that is subject to the E-SIGN Act, and that you and we both intend that the E-SIGN Act applies to the maximum extent to permit us the ability to conduct business with you by electronic means.

Availability of Records

Records will be delivered electronically to you through your online account, accessed by logging into your account at www.myshieldleasing.com. You agree that electronic delivery of these documents will be good delivery to you and be deemed received by you when sent or made available to you, whether or not you actually access or view a particular document.

Updating Your Information

We must have your current e-mail address and/or number(s) to which we may deliver text messages to provide you with Records. It is your responsibility to provide us with an accurate and complete e-mail address and/or number(s) to which we may deliver text messages. You must maintain and promptly update this information with any changes. Failure to maintain an active e-mail address and/or number(s) to which we may deliver text messages may cause your election for electronic delivery of Records to be canceled, requiring you to re-enroll for electronic delivery.

You may change your e-mail address, and/or number(s) to which we may deliver text messages, mailing address or phone number by going to your account page at www.myshieldleasing.com and updating your contact information, by calling (480) 254-7890, or writing to us at Shield Leasing, Attn: Customer Service, 2820 S. Hardware and Software Requirements

In order to access, view and retain Records in an electronic format, at your cost you must have a personal computer, operating system and telecommunications connections to the Internet capable of receiving, accessing, displaying, and either printing or storing Records you receive from us by access to our web site using the technology specified below:

1. Microsoft Windows 7 or newer, or Apple Mac OS X 10.9 or newer operating system;
2. Up-to-date Internet browser software such as Microsoft Internet Explorer version 8.0 or higher, Apple Safari 9.0 or newer, Google Chrome 22 or newer, or Firefox 23 or higher;
3. Up-to-date version of a program that accurately reads and displays PDF files (such as Adobe Acrobat Reader);
4. An active e-mail account with an Internet service provider and the appropriate software;
5. Internet access; and A computer and an operating system capable of supporting all of the above. You will also need a printer if you wish to print out and retain records on paper, and electronic storage if you wish to retain records in electronic form.

We will provide you with notice of any change in the hardware or software requirements in order to access, view and retain electronic Records. Your decision to continue to receive Records electronically will constitute your agreement to such changes.

Your Right to Revoke Your Consent to Receive Records in an Electronic Format

Your ongoing consent to receive Records in an electronic format, and to forego delivery of Records in a paper format, is voluntary and may be revoked at any time. You may revoke your consent to electronic delivery of Records by either: (i) responding to any notification delivered by text message to your number(s) with the response “STOP”; or (ii) going to your account page at www.myshieldleasing.com and updating your preferences or by contacting us at:

By revoking your consent to receive Records in an electronic format, access to any Records previously made available to you electronically may no longer be available, and you will again begin to receive Records in a paper format via U.S. Mail. We may treat an invalid e-mail address or number or the subsequent malfunction of a previously valid e-mail address or number as a revocation of your consent. If you revoke your consent to receive Records electronically, the revocation will become effective after your request is processed (but not later than one statement cycle later). You will not incur any fees by revoking your consent to electronic delivery.

Amendments

We may amend or supplement this Agreement from time to time by providing notice to you. Notice shall be effective when sent except as otherwise provided by applicable law.

Changes of Terms; Termination

We reserve the right, at any time and in our sole discretion, to change the terms and conditions under which we provide Records to you electronically, or to discontinue providing Records to you electronically. We will provide you with advance notice of any such change or termination. Your decision to continue to receive Records electronically will constitute your agreement to any such change.

Acceptance of this Agreement

By clicking “I ACCEPT” you acknowledge that you've read and agree to the terms set forth in this Agreement and you acknowledge that you understand and agree to these terms and conditions, and your computer satisfies the hardware and software requirements within this Agreement and you can access this sample PDF. In addition, you give your affirmative consent for us to provide you with electronic communications as described in the disclosure for your account(s).
